ABOUT US - WHY DARUMA?
A “DARUMA” is a figure inspired by the Bodhidharma, the father of Zen Buddhism, who supposedly reached enlightenment after years of meditation. Today, it is a good luck omen and a symbol for good fortune.
To make sure the “daruma” does its trick, you need to:
- acquire or receive a Daruma with NO EYES
- make a wish and paint ONE EYE
- give it some time to allow it come true, and when it does...
- paint THE OTHER EYE.
So, if you wish the characters of an anime or manga series would speak the language of your own, to positively contribute to the success of your new series, then make a wish to us—your wish-granting DARUMA.
